Green Smoothie

Ingredients
    • Greens swiss chard/ Kale/ Spinach : 1 Cup
    • Half apple cored and seeded
    • 1 Banana frozen or fresh
    • Juice of 1 lemon
    • Flaxseed (for omega3)
    • Chiaseed (for additional protein)
    • Cinnamon (half a spoon)
    • Turmeric (fresh - one spoon or powdered a pinch)
    • 1/2 cup frozen or fresh blueberries.
    • Water : 3/4 cup


This smoothie has it all - vitamins and minerals,omega 3, carbs for energy, protein and antioxidants.

Blend all the ingredients together. Make sure the seeds from lemon have been filtered out before blending. Can be stored for up to 48 hours in the fridg.

Note the bananas and apple can be substituted with any fresh fruits such as orange, pineapple, cantaloupe etc
